Not about bags! My blog is about reading Books

This is my first blog. So "Welcome to my new Blog".

While I hope you enjoy the bags and the website (and I really hope you do), I decided not to blog about the life of the sails or fabric I use or how great it is to make bags. It is fun, don´t get me wrong and I enjoy it a great deal, but I also have another passion and that´s called reading.

One can´t read enough. I don´t have a Kindle or any other device, I am reading "proper" books (hardback and pocket books). I´ve tried downloads and it just doesn´t do it for me. But nevertheless, however you are getting your books, it´s about reading and the books themselves and not how you read it, right?

Audiobooks are a brilliant thing too. I love to listen to them while sewing, doing housework, gardening or for falling asleep. I wouldn´t sit on the couch and just listen to it, that would firstly make me sleepy and secondly I would feel that I have to do something while listening. Weird, I know...

What I also feel worth mentioning is, that we don´t read enough anymore and surely not properly. I find myself skipping lines when browsing the internet and see long articles, I think I read half of it.

But reading a book is different, most of the times, as it should make you feel you are in that story and you can either identify yourself with the character or at least are with that person, turn into them. When I was little I was read to and started to read myself a lot quite quickly. It has developed my own imagination, creativity and maybe even understanding of things. A few people would say, that I have to much fantasy sometimes and laugh about me, but at the end of the day, that´s how one can escape the life sometimes. Reading makes one think, feel, imagine, laugh and cry and all at the same time. It´s just great! I would like to encourage more people to read, escape and share their thinking about books and make suggestions to others. Let´s call it the new BookBeachClub I hope you join me on this journey and I am looking forward to your suggestions here.
