My name is Silke and I am the founder of Salt Sand Sunshine.

I love the Water and Sea Side since I was a Child, now I am living with my partner close to the sea and I couldn´t be happier!

We used to have a Merry Fisher for a few years and have been out in the Solent as much as we could. Having moved away

from West Sussex, Brexit and Covid added, we had to give her up, as the cost of keeping would have been too much.

Anyway, the memories are made and we loved every moment of it!

Now I am making bags of used sails meant for Landfill and it is a lot of fun! Helping to keep them out of Landfill one bag at a

time. Not always easy, but I love a challenge. All Bags are designed by myself and I am dedicated to create both practical

as well as beautiful pieces. Trying to combine sustainability with style. Each bag is unique as the other, as they are all cut

out of different parts of the used sail. Some might show a bit more use than others, but that´s the beauty of it, right?!

All bags are easy to keep clean. Just put them in the washing machine, add some detergent and wash them at up to 40°C.

Please don´t tumble dry, just air-dry them. Quick and easy.

All bags are water- resistant.

Over the last few years I made a lot of different bags and I started out on Etsy as well as private Sale. After a longer break,

I am back on Etsy as well as selling in "Trove" in Winton, Bournemouth.

If you are interested in any of the bags you find either in Trove or Etsy , but might want a different colour or size,

just get in touch.

Happy browsing and all the best
